TJ

DOB: 01/19/00
TJ is the dog who conquered all. We purchased TJ at the pet store in the Mall (NO!!!!), where the girls bribed me and begged me into buying him. He was such a tiny and cute Jack TJRussell/Fox Terrier pup! Jason almost died when we brought him home. He was a big dog person and thought we had just wasted our money. How wrong we all were!!!! TJ is the biggest little dog you will ever meet. He does everything with us. We took him hunting and once he realized the gunshot meant birds or rabbits or squirrels…. he was unstoppable. He has out-hunted many a true bird dog and loves chasing down the upland game. His winning smile and prairie dog pose will con you into anything. And despite going blind in 2009- he hasn’t slowed down much at all! He is still the big dog at the farm.

HHF Morgan

DOB: 09/05/08
Sire: Hanky Panky Noswad Chocolate)
Dam: Nelly Belly Noswad (Chocolate)

Morgan came to us from friends who own the parents. She was from their second litter of pups.  Despite all of Jason’sMorgan denials that he wasn’t ready for the hunting dog of his dreams, I bought him one anyhow. The breeders let Jason choose pick of the litter and Morgan was Jason’s first choice. She was a dream from the moment we brought her home. She learned quickly and with Jason and TJ to teach her, developed into a great hunting dog. Her first year hunting this past season (2009) she learned and developed her retrieving skills despite the hunters around her showing a great lack of skill! TJ showed her the ropes and she fell in love with upland game. We look forward to her growing skills as a hunting dog.

Kangaroo Blue

DOB: Approx. 3/2009
Blue is Ashleigh's dog and he comes to the farm quite often with her. He is an Australian Cattle Dog (aka Blue Heeler) and was adopted in North Carolina on January 1st, 2010 while she was visiting her grandparents. Blue was brought to the shelter at approximately 8 months old by a kind man (who is the one who named him 'Blue') when he saw Blue wandering the streets as a stray. The "Kangaroo" part of his name was an added joke (that stuck) for his bounciness - like a Kangaroo!Blue
Ashleigh and Blue took many agility classes and did compete in an agility trial. However, they have since moved on to disc dog competitions & demos, which is freestyle frisbee with a dog. They are active members of the Granite State Disc Dogs. They also enjoy hiking, kayaking, four-wheeling and car rides- Blue is Ashleigh's shadow and goes nearly everywhere with her.
Recently, he has been joining in on the farm trail rides and he absolutely loves it as well as starting herding work. Blue took to cattle herding like a pro- after all, he IS a Cattle Dog! He is a very happy-go-lucky, playful dog and has learned many tricks from Ashleigh that he loves to show off.
